I did it, alone in my bed!

I shall mark 21 dec as a new chapter in my life!!

I slept alone in my room, no cry, no fear, no wetting of the bed.
I did it!!

Mummy is happy that I followed instruction well.
In the morning, I went to their room and asked for milk nicely.
Then after milk, I went to pass urine by myself. NO AIDED ASSISTANCE :-)

New look for the new year 2011

looks like mummy can consider fortune telling as her sideline, haha.....becox this really will be my new look for the new year.

Yesterday went to NUH for eye checkup.
Initially , it was just simple checks. I was shown new cards, and to identify which are which. Then i was given a very cute looking specs, and the lenses can be opened and closed. I was made to wear that, and continue with the different levels of test.

then need to wait again...

next stop, i was asked to look into some lights, then to concentrate on really tiny objects.... then WORST OF ALL, I was FORCED to have some eyedrops. I struggled, I kicked, I screamed, I cried, I did all I can just to resist.... But with one nurse holding on to my legs, mummy to my hands, daddy to my head, and another nurse to force open my eye-lids, they eventually managed to get some drops into my eyes.

But after that, they kept telling me to STOP crying, if not...they would hv to do it all over again. Mummy says that the drops are to make my eyes relax for a more accurate diagnose. ** as if i would understand, haha**

We went more than 3 hours at the clinic. Conclusion is....I will have to wear specs to correct my imbalance degree on each side. doc say becox the degree on each side not the same, thus I ended up squinting, develop lazy eye on the right eye.
Wear specs for 2 mths and come back for review. If need to, then patching would b the next step.

Daddy n mummy cannot believe that this is happening to me.
Esp when their eyesights are good. Daddy laughed and said he did not need to wear specs for the past 30plus years, but i started when im just 3++yrs old.

My brother

Didi has grown....bigger and taller....but not fast enough to catch up w me, HAHA!!!
He is playful at times, laughing and smiling. but most of the times, he wails and cries and sleeps.

I love him......I do. I feel like I "own" him.....protecting him w all my heart. whenever others tease me by taking away didi, I get angry and sad.
Mummy ask "Can we give didi to uncle , and in exchange you will get alot of fries and ice-cream?". without a doubt, I say NO. As much as I like fries, I love didi more.

After sch, we rushed down to BPP to catch this show. I got upset becox I cannot get in to sit in front of the stage. Sob sob..... I got frustrated and didn't behave
** i apologize for that** but thankfully daddy carried me throughout the performance so that I can still catch a glimpse of the happenings on the stage.

Rapunzel

This is my second time to a movie.
I guess I hv proven that I can "survive" , thus mummy decided to bring me again for a movie of my CHOICE!!!
yippeee......im a lucky girl!!

coincidentally, "jia jia" (grandma) bought me this Rapunzel tee from Australia, and I gladly wore it for the show.

Overall, I love it!!
But I dun understand why mummy like to "correct" me when I say that the boy who likes Rapunzel is a prince. Mummy say he is not...but i insisted he is.
To me, girl is princess and boy is prince and they will end up living together happily. **smile****

Alice in wonderland

I was very fascinated by the mini-show.
I like the tall tall man, he is very funny with the way he talked, laughed and made his faces.
I enjoyed myself alot...and i think my friend Nic also had a good time.

Changes in my life

Since Sept, there have been alot of changes.....

The much talk-about didi is finally here!!

When i first saw him at the hospital, i didn't know how to respond. I dare not touch him nor carry him. Perhaps i was having fever that day, so I was bit moody, sleepy nad tired. Was not hyper or excited like wat mummy has anticipated.


The next day when i visited him again, I was more friendly and open. I kissed and carried him, and truly welcomed him. Oh, Kaeven even gave me a welcome gift. A princess pink guitar which I really love.....thanks di di!!


Unfortunately, the day when didi came home from hospital, I was down with HFM, that made everyone worried for di-di's well-being. I was constantly reminded not to touch Kae, and that made me bit sad. I know I need to recover fast in order to play with him again.





Life with Kae around is fun, but NOISY. He always cry every now n then. Mummy says its becox he is still a baby, so he cries when he's hungry, sleepy, cold/hot, unwell....And whenever he cries, I like to tell him "Shhhh, ok ok, jie jie is here". I wonder he understands, but sometimes it works.

GOOD NEWS!! I have trained myself NOT to sleep with diaper anymore!! Before bed, i need to pass urine, then i can drink milk. In the morning before drinking milk, I also have to clear my bladder. Of course, I will be cranky and not cooperate, but i hv learn to submit to this routine.

Birthdays in Aug

This is Charis mei mei bday. She turns 1,and her bear bear bday cake is yummy. Poor Charis was all perspiring by the time for the cake cutting. But she was happy and thrilled.





Bday girl Hsin yu also turned 1. Her theme is hello kitty, so we have hello kitty cake, hello kitty goodie bag and decorations. Her mummy even had the traditional activity where we all witnessed wat she chose from the few items like pen, calculator, drumstick......each supposed to signify somethg. She chose the pink pen.

Frankly, i am quite scared of water, but over time i have slowly overcome the fear. But i still dare not go to deep waters, and unlike RE and XE, i am not as bold to emerge totally in the waters or walk in the deeper side.

But we had fun....splashing water, pouring water, wadding and kicking.
hope to go swimming more often, and im sure one day, i would be game enough to take further steps to the center of the pool.

Wow....i seems to hv alot of say in deciding di-di's name, HAHA!!

the other day when mummy asked me again what shall we call di-di other than the nick I had for him (kay-kay), I just decided on "K-fen".

I dunno how to spell, but that's how i pronounce.

even after days, whenever mummy asked me, i gave the same answer.

Just yesterday, i heard mummy asked daddy
M: are we really going to settle on "K-fen"?
D: Can la, but need to make some provision.....sounds too girl now.
M: "K-van", "Kayden" ...??
D: Something like that....but to end with "N", just like the rest of us.
M: Got to search the spelling then. We really let her decide uh?
D: Why not? quite meaningful mah, the sister helped the bro thk of his name.
M: Haha....oki

YEAH!!! It feels good to be a big sis.

Some of the highlights in the day....

I was the flower girl door opener. It was quite rare to get a little girl, haha, but i gladly take upon the role as mummy said it would be fun.

thankfully i did not screw up. It was smoothly sailing.

I admit i was bit grungy in the morning, as i have to wake up pretty early. But after warming up to such a happy occasion, I was able to enjoy myself with all the jie jie.

** only sparkler that went off was my "one-off" bad behavior in the afternoon that trigger mummy to be real mad......oh well, let's just remember happy moments, and forget abt the not so good ones, heheeeee **

Kangxi di-di

I do enjoy his company. And I know he likes me as well.
He is someone who jia-jia (grandma) babysits. He is overall a very good boy. He likes smiling and so he cheers everyone up.

His bday is coming, and I look forward to attend his first bday.
